This EarthSoft’s Office Hour Video: Intelligent Data Entry Forms (IDEFs) reduce the error and inconsistency that so frequently occurs when data are observed in the field and then manually entered into a notebook or on a log sheet. Custom-designed to retain the look and feel of the hardcopy log, IDEFs have the added advantage of using drop-down lists to reduce the amount of writing/typing necessary, and to eliminate misspellings.
