Upcoming Office Hours – EQuIS Forms – August 5, 2010

EQuIS Forms provide users with the ability to view and update data from often-used tables that relate to facilities, locations and sample test results (in a variety of views). We will also cover the Docs & Photos Form, which allows you to upload and download files that can later be associated with locations.
In this Office Hours session, a member of the EarthSoft Help Desk team will provide an overview of the various EQuIS Forms and review the exciting improvements coming with the next release.
This session will be held at 11am EDT (-5 GMT) and 6pm EDT (-5 GMT) on August 5th.

Upcoming Office Hours – Remapping Tables, July 22, 2010

EQuIS users may occasionally receive EDDs generated using reference values which differ from those defined in the EQuIS database. The EQuIS Remap option allows users to map valid value variations to the desired reference values in the EQuIS database. For example, an EDD may define a groundwater matrix as GW, when the EQuIS database reference value is WG. Using the Remap option, the user can define a set of replacement reference values and replace all variants at once.
In this OH session, a member of the EarthSoft Help Desk will showcase how to use the EQuIS Remap tool in EDP as well as in EQuIS Professional tables.

Le invitamos a participar en la sesión inaugural de ‘Office Hours en Español’ de EarthSoft que será Miércoles, el 14 de Julio 2010 a las 19:00 UTC (15:00 Chile, la Republica Dominicana, and U.S. EDT).
Esta sesión gratis durará aproximadamente 30 minutos y se va a tratar de los poderes de EQuIS Professional para dibujar cuadros y gráficos. Aprende como crear un grafico de concentraciones analíticas, niveles de agua, datos de lluvia y más. Pone series múltiples en un cuadro, sitios múltiples en un cuadro o solo un serie y un sitio en uno de muchos cuadros. Modifica con facilidad encabezados, pies de páginas, estilos de líneas, y más, y luego exporte los cuadros a Excel o Microsoft Outlook.

The EQuIS for RockWorks interface can be used to quickly and easily export your EQuIS data to RockWorks for subsurface data visualization. LogPlot is a desktop log design and plotting program that allows you to create customized log formats and also allows you to use one of the available log designs used in the petroleum, environmental, and mining industries. The EQuIS for LogPlot interface allows you to export your EQuIS data to LogPlot.
In this office hours, a member of the EarthSoft Help Desk will be showcasing the many enhancements made to these RockWare Family Interfaces.

The Sample Planning Module (SPM) has been designed to make sample planning easier and to improve communication between labs and EQuIS 5 Professional clients. The EQuIS Data Gathering Engine (EDGE) is a comprehensive collection of integrated environmental field tools ensuring accurate and complete data collection, using modern software and mobile computing technologies.
In this office hours, the product manager of SPM and EDGE will demonstrate the latest versions of these two applications and how they work together within the EQuIS workflow process.

Upcoming Office Hours- Risk3T- Risk Assessment Calculations in EQuIS, May 20, 2010

Risk3T is a flexible standard program that fully integrates within EQuIS Professional. It is designed to calculate risk-based closure levels for any regulatory risk assessment program based on the RAGS/RBCA environmental risk assessment equations. Risk3T contains programming for USEPA, Texas, and general RBCA risk assessment parameters.
In this Office Hours session, H2A will demonstrate Risk3T and how it integrates with EQuIS.

The Action Level Application Programming Interface (API) provides EQuIS users with the ability to create custom and advanced action levels. For example, the Action Level API may be used to create hardness-based action levels where a calculation is used to determine the action level value based on the hardness result.
In this Office Hours session, a member of the EarthSoft Development Team will demonstrate and discuss how to use the Action Level API.
This session will be held at 11am EDT (-5 GMT) and 6pm EDT (-5 GMT) on May 13th and also at 3pm EDT (-5 GMT) on May 14th.

EDP EDD formats check your data and then upload and transfer the data into EQuIS Professional. In this Office Hours session, an EarthSoft developer will show Power Users useful XML tips and tricks when designing custom EDD formats.
