General Notes: Version 2.0.5

Structure changes:

Structure changes are not implemented automatically when updating the EQuIS 5 applications.

Before updating any existing databases; 1) consult your Database Administrator and 2) backup exiting database(s).  Existing databases can be updated using the File > Configure > Databases option for SQL Server or running the update script for Oracle.  For more detail on updating an Oracle database please review the EnterpriseInstall.pdf available from the EarthSoft Help Desk.

          Tables:

We have added fields to the dt_facility table which will accommodate a system coordinate.  This is required for ArcGIS.  Once a facility has been created, these fields can be populated by opening the dt_facility table and populating the following fields:

·         Coord_unit – varchar(15)

·         Elev_unit varchar(15)

·         Xmin – real

·         Xmax – real

·         Ymin – real

·         Ymax – real

·         Zmin – real

·         Zmax - real

Release Notes – EQuIS 5 Professional: Version 2.0.5

5682: HOW TO alter dt_test alternate key (AK) fields

This case provides the steps for modifying the alternate key index once a database has been created

6092: WVDEP - No tables listed in views, dt, rt menus

Permissions issues for Oracle client led to the OWNER account being unable to see data in EQuIS 5 tables within EQuIS 5 Professional.  While it is generally expected that the SERVICE account be used to connect to the Oracle database, the query has been simplified to get the tables and table data.  Oracle client can now log in with either SERVICE or OWNER account and view tables and table data.

6905: Plot series from different datasets

The ability to graph data from different datasets (on the same graph) exists in earlier versions but had been unintentionally removed.  This functionality has now been restored.

7471: When loading lookup tables in EDP, include only rows for current facility.

If the format file uses a data table (e.g. dt_location,) as a lookup table, EDP was include all rows in the entire database.  This was causing a problem because sys_loc_codes from other facilities were being accepted as valid locations - even though that location did not exist for the current facility.

Now EDP will only use rows for the current facility (whichever facility the EDD is being imported into).  This only applies to tables that contain the 'facility_id' column, reference tables will still include all rows (because rt_ tables do not include the 'facility_id' column).

5350: Test GMS Interface

The basic functionality is working for the GMS interface.  We have not thoroughly tested every option and button, and have only done so with Springfield, but you can certainly export borehole data to GMS successfully.

3430: Analytical Query Panel

The Analytical Query Panel (report Analytical Results) is completed.

6142: Convert Views + Function required for ArcEQuIS to ORACLE

Added necessary views and functions for EQuIS for ArcGIS interface.

7382: Add multiple series per chart

Added the functionality to allow multiple series to a set of charts.

6252: LogPlot: Combine CURVE/TEXT Grids

We made the following modifications to the LogPlot interface/export"
1) Two columns CURVE and TEXT have been included in the grid which contains only checkboxes.
2) Another column which is not editable, sortable or selectable has been added. It contains all the parameter names.
3) Export functionality has been implemented so that the export contains none, CURVE, TEXT or CURVE and TEXT elements as checked by the user.

6259: LogPlot: SETUP Tab

The LogPlot Interface was enhanced with a tab called "SETUP" show in a tabbed preview of the Start Depth, Ending Depth, Easting, Northing, and Elevation date for the Locations selected in the 'Location' Tab of the LogPlot Interface.  The SETUP tab also contains a Coordinate system selection grid where the user can specify the coordinate system they would like to use for the export to LogPlot.

7291: Modifications to LogPlot SETUP tab

Two new controls were added to the LogPlot Setup Tab.  A checkbox with the caption "Include End Line with the following End Text?".  This checkbox allows the user to determine if they would like to include a horizontal line element in the export to LogPlot that will denote the dt_location.total_depth.  The check box is associated with a text box with a default value "End of borehole.".  This text box is disabled unless the checkbox is checked.  The checkbox is unchecked by default.

7292: Add ability to export LogPlot sample parameters by sample midpoint

Within the LogPlot Interface a new checkbox control with the caption "By midpoint?" has been added.  The significance of this control is that if checked, it will export all sample related data by the midpoint of the sample, rather than the top of the sample, so if a 2-foot sample exists from 10 to 12 feet, then the data for this sample would be written out at -11.

7293: Export drilling method information from dt_drill_activity

The LogPlot Interface has been enhanced so that it exports drill method data from dt_drill_activity that will be exported any time any lithology data are exported.  This information will be exported as a VERT-TEXT element, using the start_depth and end_depth in dt_drill_activity, and drill_method as the VERT-TEXT value.

10/12/2005: The SQL retrieving data from dt_drill_activity wasn't including facility_id in the join clause, so it was joining with other BH1 records in other facilities.  This has been fixed.

6155: Open Database: Hierarchical facility browser

When opening a database and selecting a facility, the window can display facilities hierarchically based on groups.  These groups can be defined using the rt_group (group_type='facility') and rt_group_member tables.  The groups can be hierarchical (groups within groups) and a facility can be in more than one group.

The hierarchical facility browser can be used to organize groups geographically, administratively, or any other organization that meets users' needs.

870: Specification for .NET Surfer Interface

.NET Surfer interface is complete in EQuIS 5 Pro

6170: LogPlot Well Construction Task

1) On the LogPlot form , changed the Water Level tab name to Water Level/Well construction.
2) Added a single checkbox “Include Well Construction” to the tab.
3) LogPlot files are created correctly including well construction data

5169: ORACLE: st_report.report_type - add 'rpx' as possible value.

Added a PL/SQL migrate script that adds 'rpx' to the list of acceptable values within the CHECK constraint for st_report.report_type.

3635: ArcGIS - save layers in a central location

Each personal geodatabase can now reside on a network drive in a specific project-related folder.  The personal geodatabase cannot be shared.

7481: Advanced properties for all series by given name

When creating trend charts, it is useful to set properties for different series.  The user now can easily set properties for all series of a given name.  For example, suppose that you do an analytic query and create a separate chart for each location (Group Charts By: sys_loc_code) and a separate series for each analyte (Group Series By: chemical_name).  So each chart will have one series for each chemical.  However, if all chemicals are plotted on the left axis, the scale makes it difficult to view the details of the line.  For example, pH values have a different scale than other chemical result values.  It would be helpful to show pH on a different vertical axis than the other chemicals.

This can be done by right-clicking on the pH series in the legend.  In the context popup menu, choose Advanced ... All 'pH' series.  After selecting all pH series, the Advanced tab may be used to set properties for all of those series as a group.  In the properties grid, find the 'VertAxis' property and change it from 'Left' to 'Right'.  This will plot all of the pH series on the right vertical axis (with its own scale), while leaving the other series on the left vertical axis (with the original scale).

6294: Add root personal directory as an Option in Pro

By default, the user's EQuIS work directory is located in "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\My EQuIS Work".  In some cases, the user may want to change this to be somewhere else (perhaps a shared network drive).  The Options screen in EQuIS 5 Professional now allows the user to specify where this directory is located.  The user can also choose a different working directory for each facility.  The paths to the user-specified directories are stored as shortcuts within the default directory.

6319: EQuIS 5:  LogPlot Testing

Error when selecting E-TEXT has been resolved.  The LogPlot Interface was enhanced to allow the user to enter an unlimited amount of E-TEXT.  Also, Well Construction information has been implemented as a default selection within the interface.

7001: Reports

The client reported problems with the following reports: Analyte Concentration, Analyte Exceedance, Facility Results, Individual Location Analyte, Location Analyte, Soil Gas, and Water Level.  The reports were assessed and corrected.

7373: rt_analyte Cannot Add New Analyte

Fixed a bug that occurred with the rt_analyte table when a new row was added.

7472: EDP replacing sys_loc_code with facility_id when using dt_location as lookup table

When using dt_location (or any table) as a lookup table, EDP will use the correct value when checking a lookup value.

EDP will only replace the original value with the lookup value if the two values differ in case.  This is so case-sensitive databases (i.e. Oracle) will use the expected case (as defined in the lookup table) for incoming values.

6705: LogPlot - Sample Parameter Error During Export

Resolved bug with the export from EQ5 to LogPlot.  Error was reported as 'Operator is not valid for type 'Integer' and type 'DBNull'.  The error did not occur if ‘Static Properties’ are selected.

6261: LogPlot: Location tab scroll bars

Resolved display issues with the vertical and horizontal scroll bars on the Location tab.

7299: LogPlot - Sample Type

Added the ability to export the sample type in the LogPlot Interface.

7109: problem selecting facilities (settings.xml)

Resolved the following bug: In some cases, users where getting an error message after logging in regarding the Default Facility.  If the user deleted the settings.xml file, the error would not occur - until the next time the application was started.

6132: Database migration not working

Resolved a bug in the migration interface with the "Next" button.  It is now functioning as expected.

6267: LogPlot: Review population of Water Table dropdowns

The LogPlot export is correctly exporting the selected water table values regardless of whether a single location, multiple locations, or a group is selected.

7300: LogPlot - Incorrect sys_loc_code exported in E-TEXT for multiple locations selected

Resolved bug when selecting all locations for export to LogPlot interface.  It was reported that  the first location in the list is placed in all of the locations .dat file for the ETEXT field.

7396: LogPlot - Date

Any EDIT-TEXT values which satisfy Microsoft.VisualBasic.IsDate are now converted ToShortDateString.  Thus, any dates will be exported to the LogPlot .dat file in a format similar to "13/10/2004" instead of "13/10/2004 00:00:00".

7399: LogPlot - Compile Log Not Working

Resolved a bug that occurred when exporting data from EQuIS into LogPlot.  The compiled log did not function properly.

7038: LogPlot:  Sample Parameters - Not Location Specific

The LogPlot Interface will export Sample Parameters to the location that the sample parameter is linked.  Meaning, if a PID measurement is collected from sys_loc_code MW1 then the PID measurement will only be exported to that locations LogPlot .dat file.

7157: LogPlot - Launch LogPlot Function Always Happens - Regardless of using the Check Box

Modified 'launch LogPlot' function.  It will not launch LogPlot if the box is not checked

6522: DMR Report Printing on Multiple pages.

Active Reports defaults to the most recent (or default?) printer settings.  So, if the default/recent printer settings aren't correct (margins, paper size, etc.), then it won't print as expected.

The workaround is to change your default/recent printer settings and then print the report.

6527: Analyte Groups - can't create new groups in empty db

An error clients were experiencing when saving analyte groups was resolved.  The reason analytes were not showing up in the Analyte List was because in the client data the analytes had a status_flag = 'R'.  Method_yn is now being saved.

4982: Changes to EPAR5 format

The EPAR5 format was originally designed to import into EQ3.  EPAR5 format has been modified to import into EQ5.

5917: Error when exporting graphs to Excel

This error was tracked to Excel 2000.  The code has been modified to account for Excel 2000 clients

6013: Material Groups

When creating a material group it appears the group was not saved because the rt_group.group_type was not populated.  This field was defaulted to 'material_name' on save.  This only applies to the material groups not the location groups.

6804: Migration script modification for upper case PK's

When migrating a database from EQuIS 3 to EQuIS 5, all primary key values (sys_loc_code, sys_sample_code, etc.) are forced to upper case to avoid case-sensitivity issues.

6952: Error when opening Child Table

The client reported receiving an error when trying to open a child table in Data Table View in EQuIS Professional.  The error was resolved.

7008: Facility specific Analyte Groups

Facility specific analyte groups are not possible in the current EQ5 structure.  Fixed a bug related to facility_id when manually creating general groups for the purpose of creating Combined Analyte Groups (CAG).  Clients would typically use the UI to create groups so they would not run into this bug.  We have not developed the UI for creating CAG at this point.  We have not decided not to removed the facility_id from the visible grid in the data table maintenance display.  The system contains general code for dealing with the facility_id in the data table maintenance screens.  We would need to add code to specifically remove it from the display or remove the dropdown from the display.  The facility_id field is populated when creating location groups.

6014: Location and Material Groups

Location and Material groups now display the rt_group.remark field in the Group Detail section

6006: Analyte Group Maint

Add rt_mth_anl_group.short_name and rt_mth_anl_group.method_yn to the Analyte Group Maintenance screen in the Group Detail section.  Added dropdown to method_yn field, values = "Y" and "N"

5672: Update Database fails partway through

ES has modified the scripts so that if an error occurs on any on script, we will handle the exception and make that row have a red foreground (i.e. text in red).  This allows the user to see that an error occurred.

- instead of stopping the entire process on an error it will continue with the next script after handling the error.

5918: Oracle: Export Reference Values

We modified the code for exporting reference values when running against Oracle.  It was reported that an error occurred when the Export, Reference Value option was selected.  This error was limited to Oracle users only.

6486: Export Reference Values

Modified the Export > Reference Values option so that the export will not export values where status_flag = R.  So there should only be approved values in the file created.

5345: ORACLE: Edit ... Groups

Corrected an error that was reported by Oracle clients using the Edit > Groups function.  During testing we also discovered an error with the Delete Group function.  Both are working as expected.

8414: EDP error for facility_id in SITE table

Modified mapping of the Site section so that the field facility_id is mapped to the dt_subfacility_facility_type.

8399: ORACLE: add add_report stored procedure

The EQuIS 5 Oracle database schema now contains a new procedure, equis.add_report that will assist in populating the st_report and st_report_parameter tables when adding a new database report.

8983: Add drop_report procedure

Added procedure (drop_report) for dropping reports from the st_report table (along with associated saved reports and information agents).

8151: EQuIS 5: vw_location coordinate precision

The vw_location view, which is used to display location coordinates in ArcMAP, was originally created using the REAL datatype for coordinate values.  In some cases, REAL does not provide sufficient precision to accurately convey the coordinate data.  This view has been changed to use FLOAT to support higher precision.

7974: Add trg_verify_qualifer and trg_require_parent_sample to Oracle schema

Added trigger to Oracle database schema to make sure parent_sample_code is not null when sample_type_code requires parent samples.

Added trigger to validate combined qualifiers in dt_result.interpreted_qualifiers.

7365: Change dt_result and rt_qualifier to handle multi-character qualifiers and combined qualifiers.

The dt_result and rt_qualifier tables will not support 2-character qualifiers.  If the rt_qualifier table contains any 2-character qualifiers, then all combined qualifiers must be separated by a comma:

A
BJ
A,BJ

8907: Add Contour and Color Grid options when graphing data

Contour screen now supports the following options:

Contour
Color Grid
Dot Plot
Surface Plot

8398: Add stored procedure to delete a facility.

Added new stored procedure (SQL=esp_delete_facility,ORA=equis.delete_facility) that can be used to delete a facility from the database (based on facility_id).

4677: Trend: Enhance "Separate Charts" functionality

When creating a trend plot, the user can choose to 'Group Series By' or 'Group Charts By'.  Group Series By will create a different series for each unique value in the selected column.  Group Charts By will create a different chart for each unique value in the selected column.

For example, suppose you have a dataset consisting of analytical result values for numerous locations and analytes.  This dataset could be graphed in a couple of useful ways:

- select 'Group Series By = chemical_name' and 'Group Charts By = sys_loc_code'.  This will create a chart for each location, with a different series for each chemical.

- select 'Group Series By = sys_loc_code' and 'Group Charts By = chemical_name'.  This will create a chart for each chemical, with a different series for each location.

7357: fn_analytical_concentration not filtering non-detects

fn_analyte_concentration has been replaced by analytical_results and analytical_result_hits.

6091: EDD Rollback error

EDDs can be rolled back from within EDP.  The date, user, and number or rows deleted are stored in the st_edd_batch table.

7346: Group Maintanence - fraction not editable

When adding an analyte to a method analyte group, the 'fraction' is now editable via a drop-down list populated with values from the rt_fraction table.

7398: LogPlot - Water Level/Well Construction Tab Not Working Properly

Water Level and Well Construction are exported if the information for the selected wells is NULL in these tables.

7326: CES - EDP CES.vb changed to make SPD require parent samples

The CES.vb was changed to reflect the sample_type parent requirements specified by CES.

7414: Cannot Create Location Groups

The Location Groups within EQuIS 5 Professional can handle both English (United Kingdom) and English (United States).

7408: SqlClient.SqlException

The Master Data Report's stored procedure was edited to allow a larger amount of decimal to be reported.

7963: Error on Create after adding dt_field_sample to Geologic Sample

The original error was being caused because there is no sys_sample_code in dt_field_sample.  However, per our discussion, we will not add a record to dt_field_sample with only a sample_id.

7566: Reference Value Export Issue

Issue resolved.  Client was trying to export ref vals where status_flag = 'R'.  The ref val export will only export ref vals where status flags = A.

7480: Unlicensed Active Reports Designer, requires Pro Edition

When designing a report using the Active Report designer (Edit ... Reports), the designer contains a message that says "Unlicensed Active Reports Designer.  Requires ProEdition".  This has been resolved and the message is no longer displayed.

8232: LogPlot - Sys_loc_code changed to Date

The problem of some sys_loc_codes which .NET recognized as dates (i.e. 6-114) being converted to a date during export to LogPlot has been resolved.  The sys_loc_code is exported exactly as it exists in the database.

6861: CES Soil IDEF to LogPlot Interface - dt_location.total_depth

The Soil IDEF was updated to include a Total Depth control to populate dt_location.total_depth.

8111: Action Level - can't save new action level

Resolved bug in code which prevented saving action levels.

8553: Changing TestAlternateKey removes facility_id from the index

In some cases, facility_id was inadvertently being removed from the TestAlternateKey for EQuIS 5 SQL Server (or MSDE) databases.  This issue has been resolved so facility_id is retained as part of the TestAlternateKey.

7311: Sample Intervals

The LogPlot Interface has been designed to export Sample Intervals and Sample Method as Lithology Columns and Text Columns.  This has been done per user request and to maintain flexibility of the Interface.

6725: LogPlot: Exported E-TEXT Values

Within the LogPlot Export the E-TEXT values are specific to the location that is being exported, whether the export includes an individual locations or a group of locations.

6726: LogPlot: Exported Lithology Data

In the LogPlot Interface the Lithology tab uses dt_lithology, this table does not include an end_depth field, as is required by LogPlot.  To resolve this issue, the LogPlot interface infers the start_depth of the next interval as the end depth of the previous interval.  The inferred end_depth used for the last lithology interval for a location is dt_location.total_depth.

7134: LogPlot - Date Error

The LogPlot Interface has been designed to properly handle both English (United Kingdom) and English (United States) date formats.

5947: RockWorks 2004 -- not processing parameters properly

The RockWorks export uses the geologic unit selected by the user to export to .bh files.

6614: LogPlot Export:  SETUP Tab Issues

This problem has been resolved; the SETUP tab shows data only for the current facility.

6613: LogPlot Export:  E-TEXT ISSUES

The ETEXT that the user specifies for LogPlot Interface are now saved in a file called EditText.xml in the  C:\Documents and Settings\USER's_NAME_FILE\Application Data\EarthSoft\Interfaces\LogPlot\LogPlotUI.  This was done so that the user would not have enter the desired ETEXT each time the Interface was open.  This file allows the user to create 'default' ETEXT values.

7499: Missing data points when exporting data to Excel

In some situations, data points were not being plotted correctly when data was exported to Microsoft Excel.  This has been resolved - all data points are exported and plotted in Excel.

8798: Trend Plot error when using column that contains spaces in the column name

Can now do trend plots using columns with spaces in the column name.

6683: CES: Master Data File Report

The Master Data File Report was created under specific client specifications.  This report is a tabulated representation of analytical results.

6699: ArcGIS install for EQ5

ArcGIS code was compiled into the EQuIS 5 install starting with EQuIS_Pro_5.11.4.exe install

6724: LogPlot: Location Tab

The LogPlot Interface's Location Tab shows only the locations in the facility that is currently opened within EQuIS 5 Professional.

7492: Action Level Interface

resolved a bug in the Action Levels interface:
The interface now allows all Action level groups to be visible and available in the interface if dt_action_level.facility_id or dt_action_level.subfacility_code are null or do not equal the current facility_id.

Removed the requirement of dt_action_level.facility_id or dt_action_level.subfacility_code to be populated when saving a group.

When creating a new group these values will default to null not the current facility_id.

7306: Issues with values that are stored as 'real' in the database when exporting to Excel

Some fields in the database are stored using the 'real' datatype.  When viewing a grid in EQuIS 5 Professional containing 'real' values, then exporting that grid to Microsoft Excel - the values in Excel would occasionally be report differently (55.68 was showing up in Excel as 55.67).

This problem was due to a third-party component (Infragistics NetAdvantage) that exports the grid to Excel.  This issue has been resolved in NetAdvantage 2005, Vol. 3 - which is included in this release of EQuIS Professional.

4827: Add Tiers and Secchi checkboxes disabled when VP is created

This case is satisfactorily resolved; Tiers and Secchi checkboxes are behaving as expected.

5874: Oracle: group maintenance

An error occurred when trying to save changes to a location group in EQuIS Professional.  This issue has been resolved.

4858: VP/Isopleth Site dropdown should respect current facility

The population of the dropdowns is working correctly.

4308: Designate required fields in dt_facility card view

In the dt_facility card view (which appears to only be accessible through Configure > Databases, selecting a database, and then clicking on Properties) shows the Facility Code with a yellow background and red font.  Although it is not obviously clear that it is required and a tooltip would help, this does set it apart.  When a database is created, the first and default facility uses the database name by default (which can then be changed).  The open dialog allows the user to display either the facility name or facility code.

8045: facility management

Added 'delete_facility' procedure to the existing EQuIS package. Procedure accepts two parameters: p_facility_id integer: the facility_id for the facility to be deleted; and p_row_count integer OUT: after deleting the facility, this parameter will contain the number of rows deleted

7554: Parameters do not save in Reports

Users can create standard Report Queries and save the query parameters for later use.

6809: Analyte Group Maintenance - Multiple Entries for the Same Analyte

We have added the ability to create groups with duplicate analytes.  These types of groups may be useful for reports where the same analyte has been analyzed with different methods.

8109: Action Level Screen

Added the following to the Action Level UI:
- Modified modify the Detail section of the Action Level interface to allow for a more consistent look and feel.
- Available Parameters section of the UI (cas_rn and Chem_name fields) are Sortable by clicking the column headers.
- When a new Action Level is added and the users selects 'SAVE' the Action Level screen stays in front of the EQuIS Professional main screen.

5239: Orphan data not reported by EFWEDD.xsd

A client reported that when using EDP with the 4-file format, that EDP is not reporting orphan data in the RES file.  We were able to reproduce this problem using an older version of the EFWEDD.XSD format file.  The new XSD (3/28/2005) contains some modifications and one more error check that resolve this problem.

8680: Isopleth not working - color grid not displaying.

The Isopleth form had some issues because of the upgraded TeeChart control.  These issues have been resolved.

7621: After clearing trend plots, the cleared charts still show up the next time charts are created

If you create one set of graphs (using Group Chart By) then clear those charts, they are permanently removed.  The next time you add charts, the first set of charts will not reappear.

4856: Open Facility dialog does not recognize newly-created facilities

When a new database is created, or a new facility created within a database, either the new database or facility are immediately accessible.

7942: Error opening zip file when already in use

The unhandled exception is now handled.  The same error message is given, but any hold on the file is released, and if it is open in another application, the file can be closed and reloaded successfully.

5869: ReportGrid: Add related table, then add new row to child table, then save - object reference not set

When browsing data tables hierarchically, edits made to child tables are now saved properly.

3978: Error opening tables

The bug causing an error if a table is opened, closed, and then opened again has been resolved.  If a table that exists in the workspace is opened again, a message is given that the table is already open.

4095: Send To > Outlook not working

Send To > Outlook is working correctly.

4096: Attach/Detach databases not working

Databases can be detached and attached successfully.

6637: Trendplot naming and legend problems when EXPORTED TO EXCEL

When exporting to Excel, series and charts are now named appropriately.

7478: Error Using Find and Replace in EDP

Resolved 'Setup Error' that occurred when using 'Find and Replace' in EQuIS 5 EDP.

7290: EDP doesn't read extended ASCII characters such as µ

EDP will now properly read extended ASCII characters such as 'µ' when loading text files.

8990: Evaluation - force login to demo server

Resolved issue of WVDEP format files not performing custom coordinate conversion. WVDEP.VB file was modified so the addDataHandlers routine was not called recursively.

6449: EPAR5_LOC_v1

The LOC section of the R5 format was modified to create records in the dt_well_segment table for the following fields:
- depth_to_top_of_screen will populate, dt_well_segment.start_depth
- depth_to_bottom_of_screen will populate, dt_well_segment.end_depth
- default dt_well_segment.segment_type to “Screen”
- default dt_well_segment.material_type_code to “Unknown”
- default dt_well_segment.depth_unit to “ft”

We remove the above fields from the dt_well create section.  The dt_well create section of LOC and it now only be populates the following:
<edd:field source="sys_loc_code" target="sys_loc_code" />
<edd:field source="depth_to_bedrock" target="depth_to_bedrock" />
<edd:field source="top_casing_elev" target="top_casing_elev" />

we have also defaulted dt_well.depth_unit to "ft"

6451: EPAR5EIW_v1 mapping

Mapping and create statements were added to the EIW section of the format as specified by Bill Halloran

6453: EPAR5TRS_1, EPAR5TRSQC_1 and EPAR5_HistCHEM_1

For sections, EPAR5TRS_v1 and EPAR5TRSQC_v1 add a conditional for analysis_location = "FI".  If analysis_location = FI, then lab_name_code, qc_level, lab_sample_id, lab_matrix_code and dilution_factor would not be required.

For EPAR5_HistCHEM_v1 section create same check, but it does not affect as many fields.  If analysis_location = FI, then qc_level would not be required.

6455: EPAR5 EPAR5LOC_v1 reference_point

6609: EPAR2 cross checking

cross checking has been added for all sections of the format, except FieldMeasure since there is not mapping for that section of the format yet.

8949: ESBasic giving me troubles

Resolved a error that occurred during the create process.  We modified the mode from 'create' to 'parent' for dt_sample, dt_test, dt_test_batch.  This has resolved this issue.

5916: EFWEDD RES sections modifications

Modified the EFWEDD format for the EFW2LabRES section.  The total_or_dissolved field is now mapped to the dt_test.fraction field.  When running in EQ Pro it will use the rt_fraction table as a dropdown.  When running standalone it will use the same list that's specified for EFW2LabTST, total_or_dissolved field.

6007: Analyte Group Maint - advanced fields editing

Added the ability to edit all fields displayed in the Group Members section of the screen. The only exception is the ebatch field.  The ebatch field is not editable.
Added dropdown fields for the following fields:
analytic_method dropdown = rt_analytic_method.analytic_method
fraction dropdown = rt_fraction.fraction
matrix dropdown = rt_matrix.matrix_code
default_units = rt_unit.unit_code
reporting_units = rt_unit.unit_code

Modified the code to display only reference values where status_flag = 'A'.  Any reference values with status_flag = 'R' will not be available for selection in the dropdown lists.

Same is true for the Available members section.  Only analytes where rt_analyte.status_flag = 'A' should be displayed for selection.

Added the following to the EPAR5 format
- FK from HistLOC to HistGEO
- FK from HistLOC to HistCHEM
- FK from HistLOC to HistCHEM
- added mapping from HistCHEM.sys_loc_code to dt_sample.sys_loc_code

6711: EPAR5 Hist sections creating locations

- HistWTR was creating both dt_location and dt_well records.  This was removed these so it will not create parents.
- HistGEO was creating dt_location records.  This was removed this so it will not create parents

5867: USCG ref vals file

completed creating a USCG.rvf

6688: EPAR5 GSMP section remove lookup for sample_method, geologic_unit_code, don't create location records

Modified the EPAR5 format, section EPAR5GSMP_v2 so that the sample_method and geologic_unit_code are not lookups.  All values entered will always be added to the rt_sample_method or the rt_geologic_unit tables.

6709: EPAR5 lab and validation qualifier

lab_qualifiers and validator_qualifiers in TRS, TRSQC, and HistCHEM work with enumeration lists.  All six drop-downs worked as expected and the functionality is working as we discussed.

6668: EPAR5 LOC section conditional mapping

Added a conditional check in the dt_coordinate mapping in the EPAR5 LOC section so that if no optional fields are present in the EDD then a row will not be created in dt_coordinate for the lat/log information.

Also added a conditional mapping in rt_company so that if the subcontractor_name_code is not present then a row will not be created in rt_company.

Added a conditional mapping in dt_well_segment so that it won’t create a row in dt_well_segment if there is no data for depth_to_top_of_screen and depth_to_bottom_of_screen.

6690: EPAR5 validator qualifier needs rt_lookup

Modified EPAR5 format, section EPAR5TRS_v2 and EPAR5TRSQC_v2, such that column validator_qualifier and laboratory_qualifier have a lookup to rt_qualifier

6689: EPAR5 DHP section param lookup removed

EPAR5 format, section EPAR5DHP_v2, param column dropdown list was removed.  All values will be added to the database upon commit.

7473: HistLOC EPAR5 well_segment

Modified EPAR5 format, section EPAR5_HistLOC_v2.  The depth_to_top_of_screen will not be required.  If this field is not populated a record will not be created in the dt_well_segment table. Added a conditional check; if depth_to_bottom_of_screen is populated then depth_to_top_of_screen must be populated.

7584: EPAR2 SampleInfo modifications

- Added conditional check for EPAR2 format section EPAR2_SampleInfo_v1 - the sent_to_lab_date cannot proceed the sample_date.
- Add conditional check sample_receipt_date cannot proceed sample_date.

6687: EPAR5 Well segment

EDP does not support multi-column lookups, so I added to separate single column lookups.  This should work most of the time; however, it does allow the possibility of false positives.  For example, suppose the rt_well_segment_type table contained ONLY these two records:

segment_type  material_type_code
------------  ------------------
SCREEN        PVC
PLUG          ANNULAR BACKFILL

Now suppose that an EDD comes in that contains a row in the WSG section that uses the following:

segment_type  material_type_code
------------  ------------------
PLUG          PVC

EDP would find 'PLUG' in the segment_type column in rt_well_segment_type and it would find 'PVC' in the meterial_type_code column in rt_well_segment_type.  Since both values exist, it would pass both lookups and the row would not be flagged as an error.  However, this is a false positive, because those two values combined do not exist in rt_well_segment_type.

If this were to happen in the current system, the EDD would pass the checks, but then fail during 'Commit'.  In Enterprise EDP, the failure notification would be sent to the facility manager (not the submitter).

7190: R5 dt_measure_datum conditional check

Created custom handler for populating dt_measure_datum from the EPAR5LOC_v2 section of the EPAR5 format.

If any of the following fields are populated then the datum_start_date must be populated:Datum_value, Datum_unit, Step_or_linear, Datum_collect_method_code, Datum_desc

6842: EPAR2 PK for site section, site_id check

added PK for Site_id in EPAR2 format.

Release Notes – EQuIS 5 Enterprise: Version 2.0.5

5837: Display all dates in Web App in DD/MM/YYYY format

Modified code to show all dates in the web app in the following format DD MMM YYYY (e.g., 15 APR 2005).  This will cover us for both UK and US date formats.

6755: Make it possible to "Browse" non-database reports (rpx, class,...) without saving to the pick list

Previous versions of EQuIS Enterprise required that some reports be saved to the Pick Report list before being viewed.  It is no longer necessary to save reports to the Pick Report list before viewing - any report can be viewed directly from the Build Report list.

7670: Conflicting jobs when running multiple instances of EIA

When multiple instances of EIA are running within the same instance of SQL Server, there were occasional errors when creating new agents because of conflicting job names.  This issue has been resolved.

6727: Error occurred while loading data: Seek not supported

Fixed bug that occurred while posting EDD data to MS SQL database
ERROR EarthSoft.Workflow.Clients.Default.DefaultFileBase [] - Error occurred while loading data: Seek not supported

6463: rpx report events not being completed

Fixed bug where Active Reports generated by EIA get stuck because error messages were not handled properly.  When running in EarthSoft Workflow, all Active Report errors are now logged to workflow.log

8077: Enterprise - Active Reports Evaluation Version

In previous version, running Active Reports in EQuIS Enterprise displayed a "evaluation" message in red text on the report.  This issue has been resolved.

6831: Column Headers not Exported to Excel

Corrected a bug in Enterprise that occurred when report data is exported from Enterprise, the column headers are not being exported.  The headers are now exported.

6462: Have webapp pass NULL if nothing is selected

Previous versions of EQuIS Enterprise would report an error if the user did not select any values in a multi-select list.  Now, selecting nothing in a multi-select list will pass NULL as the parameter value (and not report an error to the user).

7613: Scheduled Active Report generates error: SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable

When scheduling an Active Report in EQuIS Enterprise, the following error would show up in the log file and the report would not be sent:

SqlTransaction has completed; it is no longer usable

This issue has been resolved and Active Reports can now be scheduled and will be sent as expected.

6830: Change EZView Pick Report from Browse to View

The Browse button in Enterprise EZView was reported to be miss leading, therefore EarthSoft has changed the button's title to View.

5742: Implement MULTISELECT for Report Parameters

Added the ability to select multiple values for report parameters in Enterprise.

7027: FTP Retrieval Service Status.

FTP Retrieval was tested against 1.8.5.103 successfully.  there are a few issues related to Windows vs. Unix hosts but they are easily worked around.  Specifically, if logging in to host testserver as user fogbugz and providing a path of /EDD-DROP/, on a Windows host that's translated to ftp://testserver/EDD-DROP/ while on a *NIX host it's translated as ftp://testserver/home/fogbugz/EDD-DROP/
